The owner of the building in outer Delhis Mundka where a massive fire claimed 27 lives has been sent to two-day police custody for further investigation into the fire mishap.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured in the Mundka building fire incident.

The Delhi Police said on Monday that bio samples from 26 people had been collected so far for DNA profiling in the Mundka tragedy.

The owner of the building in west Delhi, where a massive fire on Friday cost 27 lives, has been arrested. A case has been filed against Manish Lakra, who was absconding. He was caught this morning after multiple raids.
