STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Samuel Arbeeny loved Christmas. He helped sell Christmas trees and wreaths and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren during the holidays, said his daughter, Danielle Messina.
Arbeeny is one of more than 300 people who are presumed or confirmed to have died in a Staten Island nursing home due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). And Messina is one of the many who will be enduring this holiday season without a loved one.
