Defense may seek second psychological evaluation in Adrian double homicide

ADRIAN Attorneys for a man accused in a double homicide in Adrian may seek an independent psychological evaluation, a judge was told Wednesday.
Christopher Lee-Ryan Carden, 34, of Morenci was arraigned Wednesday in Lenawee County Circuit Court on two counts of open murder and single counts of first-degree home invasion, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent, unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle, third-degree fleeing from police, possession of a firearm by a felon and felony firearm.
Carden is accused of murdering Samuel Compton, 82, and Robert Braman Sr., 67, both of Adrian, on Jan. 15 at 904 1/2 Frank St. in Adrian as well as stealing a car and leading police on a chase after officers attempted to stop the vehicle, according to Adrian police.
