Samuel Mccrary News Today

Legendary singer-songwriter and guitarist Bruce Cockburn, whose honors include 13 Canadian JUNO awards and induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, will play an intimate show inside Myron's at The Smith Center on April 25.

Today, The McCrary Sisters announce the full lineup for A McCrary Kind of Christmas, the 14th annual holiday celebration and concert that benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as well as individual families in need in the greater Nashville area. It will be held on Friday, December 8 at 7pm at Riverside Revival in Nashville, TN.

“Time takes its toll, but in my soul I’m on a roll,” Bruce Cockburn sings on his latest studio album, O Sun O Moon. Smart and catchy, it’s the kind of memorable line—like “gotta kick at the darkness ’til it bleeds daylight” from his classic song “Lovers in a Dangerous Time”—the world has become used to hearing from Cockburn.

Legends of diverse musical genres — from country and gospel to jazz and rock — died this year after leaving their marks on Music City.

With her sisters, McCrary sang on stage or in the studio with a litany of stars in country, Americana, rock and blues.
