Samuel E. Wright, voice of Little Mermaids Sebastian, dead at 74. Samuel E. Wright -- who lent his voice to Sebastian the scene-stealing crab in the 1989 animated movie The Little Mermaid -- has died at the age of 74, his family announced.

Samuel E. Wright was also known for playing Mufasa in the original Broadway production of "The Lion King."

The actor and singer voiced Sebastian and sang Under The Sea in Disney's 1989 animated favourite.

Wright voiced the beloved character in "The Little Mermaid." His daughter, Dee Kelly wrote in Facebook, "My beautiful, strong, loving daddy is off to his next adventure."
