Seven resorts closed last weekend, five more call it a season this weekend. With temperatures in the 50s to even 60s and sunshine, snow will melt fast. But, there are still some good spots to go.
The Christmas storm arrived Thursday night in Southwest Colorado, dropping more than a foot of snow by Friday morning in the San Juan Mountains, raising the threat of avalanches and closing high mount.

Both Purgatory and Loveland Ski Area announcing this week they have received 100 inches so far this season. This is allowing more terrain to open across the board.
X Games are back at Aspen Friday through Sunday, but spectators are not allowed this year. Most events can be watched on ESPN.

A cold front will bring cooler temperatures and gusty winds Saturday. This front will bring snow to the mountains and dry wind to the plains. Sunday will be more calm and sunny with seasonable temperatures.
