A credit card skimmer was found at a Valero gas station in Prunedale this past week. It is believed to have been installed around 7 p.m. Thursday, and was found and disabled by 12:25 p.m. on Friday. The skimmer was found on the point of sale credit machine inside the store, at the gas station on San Miguel Canyon Road. People who have had their cards fraudulently used there are encouraged to contact the Monterey County Sheriff s Departnent.
