A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to support the family of Tyler Dickson, 20, the promising student-athlete from San Pablo who was found murdered at a campground in Oroville last weekend.
“As our family deals with this heartbreak, we ask for your support in ensuring our son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend has a heartfelt home going ceremony,” according to the GoFundMe.
Dickson, a student athlete at Contra Costa College who was a star quarterback and basketball player at El Cerrito High, graduating in 2019, was reportedly camping at the Bidwell Marina Campground at the time he was killed. About 5 a.m. Saturday, July 3, Butte County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the campground on a report of an injured person and found Dickson inside a tent.
