The vaccination drive for
COVID immunisation held at
Viman Nagar received a huge response with as many as 3,500 residents being vaccinated. The programme was successfully carried out with efforts from Mukta Jagtap, Arjun Jagtap, VNRA members, volunteers of Splendid Vision, Kiran Taware and Jeevan Jyoti Hospital. Bajaj Corporation had arranged 3,500 doses for this noble cause.
Earlier,
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) had started a vaccination centre at Swami Vivekanand Park, Viman Nagar, after persuasion from local corporator Mukta Jagtap. Many citizens were vaccinated here, but limited doses and irregular supply caused inconvenience. After this the corporator, Arjun Jagtap, and VNRA took note and contacted the Bajaj Group. They urged the group to make vaccine doses available for citizens. The latter responded positively and arranged for the bulk doses.
