Eastern Cape readies for increased road traffic over weekend
Road accidents put a huge strain on hospitals and other health facilities while also eating away at the Eastern Cape department of health’s budget according to MEC Nomakhosazana Meth. She was speaking to journalists after leading a massive roadblock, alongside transport & community safety MEC Xolile Nqatha, on the busy N2 near Sibangweni village outside Mthatha on Tuesday morning, as part of the official launch of this year’s Easter Arrive Alive Safety Campaign.
