Class of 2021: Jeff Saint Fleur, Santaluces High School valedictorian

Using brain power, hard work and technology, Santaluces High School valedictorian Jeff Saint Fleur wants to make transportation better.
“I’m fascinated by what Elon Musk is doing with Tesla. I want to be part of that growing industry. It’s inspiring what the human mind can achieve,” said Jeff, 18, who plans to attend Florida Atlantic University.
Born in Haiti, Jeff and his sister, Jennifer, and father, Wilmann, moved to Brooklyn, New York, when he was 8 years old. The three came to Palm Beach County in 2008 and settled in Lake Worth Beach.
Gun found on campus at Santaluces High School February 22, 2021 at 5:55 PM EST - Updated February 22 at 6:31 PM
A student was caught in possession of a gun Monday at Santaluces High School near Lantana, according to the Palm Beach County School District.
Principal Tameka Robinson said school police were able to safely take the gun from the student without incident.
The student is now in custody at the County Detention Center.
Robinson said it appears this was an isolated incident. She said there are no signs that any students or staff were being threatened.
In addition to potential criminal charges, Robinson said the student will also be disciplined.
