A jewelery store in Katy is under investigation for multiple felony theft cases.
The store, ALKU Modern Jewelers in Katy, has had multiple customers come forward and allege they were swindled out of their money. The owner, Santiago Mora, is facing federal charges for wire fraud and identity theft and could be facing more charges in the coming days.
Mora told one customer that he d be able to acquire two rare watches a Rolex Daytona with a white dial and black dial for both of which he paid $26,300, per KHOU. The customer says they never received the watches.

HOUSTON A Houston man is claiming that a local jewelry store pulled a fast one on him a few months ago. John Holden said the business encouraged him to pay cash upfront for an engagement ring, but when it was supposed to be ready, the store was dark and its doors were locked.
Holden said he thought he was getting a good deal when he made the decision to buy an engagement ring at ALKU Modern Jewelers at La Centerra in Katy a few months ago.
