AFP/File LAHORE: The Corona Experts Advisory Group (CEAG) has allowed administration of Pfizer vaccine to the children who have undergone liver, kidney and bone-marrow transplant. The decision was taken in a CEAG meeting which was called after the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) head sought permission to vaccinate under-18 children who had undergone complicated surgeries. Headed by specialised healthcare and medical education department secretary Amir Jan, the meeting was also attended by primary and secondary healthcare department secretary Sara Aslam, CEAG Chairman Prof Mahmood Shaukat, CMH Lahore Commandant Brig Ghulam Akbar, Mayo Hospital Chief Executive Officer Prof Dr Saqib Saeed, Punjab Healthcare Commission Director Dr Anwar Janjua, Dr Javed Hayat Khan from PKLI and other senior medical experts an

Dr Yasmin Rashid visits Mayo Hospital corona monitoring unit National May 13, 2021 LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid visited Mayo Hospital Corona Monitoring Unit on Wednesday to monitor performance of the unit. Present on the occasion were Consultant Professor Dr Asad Aslam Khan, Professor Dr Saqib Saeed, Medical Superintendent Dr Iftikhar and other officials. Professor Asad Aslam Khan and Dr Iftikhar gave briefing to the minister about reserved beds, ventilators and Oxygen availability. Later, the minister visited Vaccination Centre at Sabzazar along with Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SH) Department Sarah Aslam and Commissioner Captain (r) Usman Younis. The minister said that the government was monitoring corona situation closely and continuously increasing the number of vaccination centres. In Punjab, 236 centres and in Lahore seven centres were functional, she mentioned.
