Amy Smith, Versiti Illinois Area vice president, and Sarah Horne, account representative for the Versiti Blood Center of Illinois, attended the Feb. 11 Naperville Park District board meeting and presented the Beacon of Hope Award to the Park District for being one of the top organizations in the area to host blood drives in 2020.
Beginning in spring 2020, the park district hosted over 25 blood drives at its Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center and Fort Hill Activity Center, partnering with other community groups who needed a location for their blood drives.

To help with the ongoing need for blood donations during the coronavirus pandemic, Naperville Park District plans to continue hosting donation opportunities at its Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois.
The drives are held in Community Hall on the upper level of the community center, which has plenty of space for social distancing.

To help with the ongoing need for blood donations during the coronavirus pandemic, the Naperville Park District is hosting donation opportunities at its Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois.
To allow for plenty of space for social distancing, it will be held on the upper level of the community center, 305 W. Jackson Ave. in downtown Naperville.
New dates are being added each week and some of the blood drives at the community center are sponsored by other community groups, including churches.
Naperville North High School is hosting a blood drive at the community center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27. The next Naperville Community Blood Drive will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2.
