President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of Hajiya Saratu Umar as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Saratu Umar, executive secretary of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

The commission that is responsible for driving desperately needed investments in Africa's largest economy is riddled with troubles as Ms Umar and the staff are at loggerheads.

Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Matsunaga Kazuyoshi, says his country will further strengthen relations with incoming Tinubu administration.

Kazuyoshi said this at an event organised by the Japanese embassy in Abuja to commemorate the 63rd birthday of the Emperor of Japan, Hironomiya Naruhito.
