Our Correspondent Diphu, Nov. 1 (EMN): Under the Assam Micro-Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme (AMFIRS), 2021 for the category – II, a total of 428 women beneficiaries from Karbi Anglong who took loans from various micro-finance institutions, were given relief by the Assam government. The relief cheques were distributed by HAD Minister, Jugen Mohan in the presence of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang in a ceremonial distribution held at Sarsing Teron (Langkung Habe) Memorial Town Hall in Diphu on Tuesday. The minister while addressing the gathering said that Karbi Anglong is no longer a backward district while citing that the district is progressing very fast. He said, “My job is to facilitate the bringing of funds and clear the files as soon as possible. No work will be pending.
