Andy Rennecke is a sports reporter for St. Cloud LIVE. He focuses on writing in-depth high school and college features for the St. Cloud metro area, including Sartell, Sauk Rapids, St. Cloud, Waite Park and St. Joseph. Rennecke has been a professional sports writer since 2003 when he got his start at the Mitchell (South Dakota) Daily Republic. He covered Central Minnesota college and high school sports and the St. Cloud Rox for the St. Cloud Times from 2008-2015. He's a Cosmos, Minnesota, native and a 2003 St. Cloud State graduate with a major in mass communications/print journalism. Andy lives in St. Joseph with his wife, Jessica, and their kids, Matthew and Quinn. He also has a dog named Dash, who has basically become his third child. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum predicted a big year for commercial growth in Sartell in 2023 and so far that is looking like it will be the case. Fitzthum joined me on WJON. He explained the Aldi grocery store going into to the River Crossing development will be joined shortly by 4 more smaller retail stores going into that development.
The City’s logo had not been updated since 1999, and the website has not been updated since 2017, so it was time for a refresh to ring in the new year.
