An 86-year-old Vedic Karmkand scholar from Varanasi, Pt Laxmikant Mathuranath Dixit, with descent from Shivaji priest, will lead the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla idol at Ram temple in Ayodhya. He will be leading a team of 121 scholars from all branches of the Vedas to solemnise the idol consecration rituals. The veteran scholar expressed his gratitude for being assigned the responsibility and will perform his duties with the blessings of Lord Ram.
