New Delhi: In an open letter to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a group of former Indian Ambassadors on Monday stated that his recent words on the farmerâs agitation in India were “uncalled for” and “disconnected with ground realities”.
The group of 22 ex-ambassadors said that the Canadian PM’s words “served merely to fan the flames” and accused his government of indulging in vote bank politics. On November 30, Trudeau had said, in the context of the farmers’ protest in India that âCanada will always be there to defend the right of peaceful protest”. India strongly protested the statement.

New Delhi, Dec 14 : Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau comments on the ongoing protests by Indian farmers were uncalled for, disconnected with ground realities and served merely to fan the flames , said an open letter by Indian Ambassadors Group on vote bank politics in Canada.
