A veterinary team at a government-operated hospital in Berhampur, Odisha, successfully removed approximately 30kg of plastic bags from the stomach of a 10-year-old cow, saving its life. The cow had ingested the plastic bags while consuming leftovers discarded in polythene bags by people. The incident once again highlights the devastating impact of plastic pollution on innocent animals and underlines the need to combat it.
