Siemens Mobility and its consortium partners Orascom Construction and Arab Contractors have signed a contract with Egyptian National Authority for Tunnels to build the worlds sixth largest high-speed rail system running 2,000-km long linking 60 cities.

Egypt has signed a contract with industrial manufacturing company Siemens’ rail and traffic unit and its consortium partners to build about 2,000 kilometres of high-speed railways, the German group said on Saturday.
