同町では既に６５歳以上の希望者全員が１回目の接種を終え、そのうち半数が２回目も済ませたことから、完了にめどが付いたと判断。対象を６４歳以下に広げることを決め、約７千人に接種券を送る準備を進めていた。
当初の想定では、さよう文化情報センターでの集団接種に加え、町内８カ所の医療機関で個別接種も実施。予約用のウェブサイトやコールセンターを開設し、５５～６４歳と基礎疾患のある２０歳以上▽４０～５４歳▽１６～３９歳－に分けて段階的に申し込みを受け付ける予定だった。
町によると、こうした基本的な方針や優先順位は維持する考えで、医師会とも協議しながら日程や会場を再調整する。
