SCHENECTADY – The Schenectady County Department of Motor Vehicles will offer walk-in days on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning today, Tuesday, July 13. No appointments will be necessary on these days. Transactions will be processed on a first-come, first served basis.

Additionally, all requirements regarding residency have been lifted.
Appointments will continue to be required for permit exams. These appointments, as well as those on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and can be made at https://schenectadycounty.com/county-clerk/dmv.
The DMV will continue to require that dealers use the drop box for transactions.
