Riverside adopted new measures for its parking regulation code during a city council meeting on Dec. 7 in a unanimous vote after the proposals’ final reading.
The only universal change to city parking limitations is a new rule in the chapter’s first clause, stating “parking within 25 feet in each direction at all intersections will not be allowed and will be marked with signage or yellow curb marking.”
Downtown intersections are exempt. All other changes to the chapter of city code apply to specific streets.
The new rules limit parking on Second and Third Street to the north side of the road, and entirely off limits on both sides of Ash and portions of St. Mary’s Street. Schnoebelen Street will also bar all parking, but only from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m.
