District makes moves to help keep buildings open to in-school learning
The Wellsville Daily Reporter
WELLSVILLE The Wellsville Central School District is being proactive in keeping students in school for the rest of the year.
Many districts have faced COVID-19-induced substitute teacher shortages over the last few months as large swaths of school staff were forced to enter quarantine protocol. The lack of staffing forced a number of districts to shift to full virtual learning to get through the shortage.
Intent on avoiding such a situation in the coming weeks and months, the Wellsville Board of Education approved a slew of appointments Monday night that should boost the district’s roster of substitutes.
