Volunteer at San Franciscos Suicide Prevention and i see callers call in regularly about the distress theyre going through because of the inability to afford housing or living on the street because theyre homeless and also on a personal level because my mom, my mother is a recipient of low Income Housing in washington state. Without this ability for her to qualify or not having a place for her to stay, i dont know how i personally would be able to help or support her as im the only family she has here in the country.
