Workers were trapped in a trench, 12 feet below the ground, when the walls suddenly collapsed on top of them. Efforts to reach the two men futile and quickly turned from a rescue effort to a recovery one. Mccarthy is live and christine, a lot of dangerous conditions out there tonight. There sure were. By this point a lot of the water has receded. In fact, were seeing the roads behind us right here almost completely dry. Still some puddles right in this intersection you see right here at william and stevens street just half an hour ago there was a car that was stranded here even as the water had receded. Some drivers taking the risk and plowing through the water, others becoming stuck and having to ditch their cars. Police have put out an advisory on social media, they were warning residents and drivers to stay inside, to stay off the roads.
