Hello. We begin in the us, where police have clashed with pro palestinian demonstrators as a wave of protests intensifies at University Campuses across the country. Skirmishes broke out between protestors and police at the university of Southern California in los angeles. Well hear with our reporter there in a moment. At the university of texas in austin, the governor sent in State Troopers in riot gear to confront demonstrators who waved Palestinian Flags and chanted free palestine. These demonstrations have spread since the arrest last week of more than a hundred protesters at columbia univerity in new york sparking debates about free speech and the right to protest. The us Speaker Of The House mikejohnson visited Columbia University on wednesday. He accused administrators of failing to protectjewish students from what he describes as virulent antisemitism. Its the driver or passenger, that person was ejected from the car and then a second accident possibly involving gravel on the roadway. So they have to deal with all of that. And thats taking a lot of time. They want to make sure that the roadways clear and safe before they reopen it to the public. And ive seen this before. James and darya that with the gravel, even if they remove it. Ive seen chp officers drive as fast as they possibly can to that gravel site slam on the brakes just to make sure that their tires grip the road and theres no slippage, which is something they possibly might before they reopen the roadway to make sure that everybody will be safe so they would not be another accident after they leave the scene. The meantime, the westbound direction thats moving along just fine. Now its the eastbound side. Thats still a concern. But hopefully before the end of our 9 oclock newscast, our things will reopen. A teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two teachers and a teenage student were stabbed at a school in wales. The suspect, were told, remains in custody. Amman Valley School was put into lockdown shortly after 11 am. After three people were injured. Its understood that the injuries are not life threatening. Emergency services responded, including wales air ambulance. Pupils have now been released to their very worried parents, who were gathered outside of the school. Well, outside of the school. Well, three men have been arrested following the deaths of five migrants, including a young girl, while trying to cross the engush girl, while trying to cross the English Channel yesterday. The National Crime agency says they were arrested on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration and entering the uk illegally.
