The 2023 Dan Patch Older Female Pacer of the Year and O'Brien Award runner-up, Grace Hill, won her first start of 2024 at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Friday, May 17.

The top-level pacing mares were in the spotlight at Running Aces on Thursday night (Aug. 31) in the $17,600 Open Handicap which drew a field of nine talented distaffers. 

The Thursday (August 17) harness racing program at Running Aces was loaded with freshman and sophomore action in the Minnesota-sired program and there were many standout performances throughout the night.

The $35,000 Ron Banks Memorial FFA Mares Pace was the main event on the Sunday evening (June 25) harness racing card at Running Aces and featured a deeply talented field of eight top-level distaffers going into battle over a rain-soaked surface, which was listed as sloppy.

With the temperatures rising in the Chicagoland area, the racing action heated up as well at Hawthorne as the Night of Champions series races kicked off. With races filling well, additional races were carded each night at Hawthorne with wins spread amongst many drivers and trainers.
