Bolton s Le Mans Crescent used as backdrop for hit forensic crime drama

BOLTON S Le Mans Crescent will be the backdrop for yet another hit TV show with filming for the second series of forensic crime drama Traces taking place all week. Produced by RED Production Company, which also made recent Channel 4 drama It s A Sin, which also used the historic street as a set, the suspense-fuelled thriller was based on an original idea by best-selling crime writer Val McDermid where forensic science takes centre stage. Set in Scotland and exploring the world of the Scottish Institute of Forensic Science (SIFA), series one introduced Emma Hedges (Molly Windsor), Prof. Sarah Gordon (Laura Fraser) and Prof. Kathy Torrence (Jennifer Spence) who together use forensic science to uncover the truth about the murder of Emma’s mother.
