We have reached March. Normally, we would be wrapping up the NFL Scouting Combine right now, talking about how fast Prospect A ran or how much Prospect B could bench press. In Covidland, however, there was no Scouting Combine, so there seems to be a hole in our offseason coverage plans.
To fill that hole today, I decided to take a way, way too early look at the Miami Dolphins 2021 roster and try to build a 53-man depth chart for the season. With the free agency period set to begin in a couple weeks and the NFL Draft kicking off in April, there are obviously a lot of additions and subtractions to Miami’s roster still to come. Where I think a new name will be added to the roster, I will add in either “Free Agent” or “Draft” to fill out the 53 players.

For decades now, the Steelers and Giant Eagle have been partners on the kinds of things that have allowed people to enjoy football weekends in the fall. This year, that partnership is expanding into an area of far more significance.
Starting next week, Giant Eagle Pharmacies will team up with the Steelers to utilize Heinz Field with the idea of getting the COVID-19 vaccine into the arms of as many people as possible. The Steelers have had a long relationship, a long partnership, with Giant Eagle going back decades now, said Steelers President Art Rooney II, and so when Giant Eagle Pharmacy wanted to set up a vaccination site at Heinz Field we thought it was a great idea. A great opportunity to really help them serve the community, and so we re excited it s going to happen.

Evaluating draft prospects and projecting them to the NFL is always some mixture of art and science. It’s far from easy, with plenty of mistakes and misreads in a normal year and the last year has been anything but normal.
One of the biggest changes to the 2021 draft prep is the number of highly regarded prospects who opted out of the 2020 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The NFL will have to make evaluations of a wide swath of players with much less tape (not to mention no Scouting Combine) than they normally would. That complicates matters for prospects who didn’t have much tape coming into the 2020 season.
