New Zealand’s technology and innovation event Techweek 2021 returns to Taranaki for its fourth year from 22 – 30 May, with a dozen events on offer showcasing and celebrating Taranaki and Aotearoa innovations.
An annual nationwide festival of innovation, Techweek is a platform for people to meet, share ideas and create connections to enhance our future world. Techweek Taranaki 2021 is curated by Venture Taranaki, the region’s economic development agency.

York County Public Libraries is known for hosting a plethora of free events and activities for the community. This season is no different, it is offering a Girls Who Code program and a boys program, Scratch Coding for Boys, which connects young club members as they learn computer science skills together.
The girls’ program started Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 4-5 p.m. and will go on for the next nine weeks. Sarah Jordan, the youth services librarian assistant at Tabb Library, will be hosting both the Girls Who Code club and Scratch Coding for Boys virtually using Zoom.
