with all that talk about the 999 plan last night, kyra. i thought it was the plug for the 9:00 show. no, you could probably read the thought bubble coming out of mitt romney s head last night. he was basically saying i could get used to this because so much of the attention at this debate was focused on herman cain, the former ceo of godfather s pizza. probably felt like one of his own pizza because his rivals that table were turning up the heat. jobs, jobs, jobs. herman cain find out what happens to candidates who shoot up in the polls. they become big targets. when you take the 999 plan and you turn it upside down, i think the devil s in the details. cain s economic plan and sets rates at 9%. also create a new 9% national sales tax. if i think it s a catchy phrase. in fact, i thought it was the price of a pizza when i first heard about it. here s what we need. we need something that is doable, doable, doable. it will pass. it s not the price of a pizza. it was
this visual in my head. that s good, right? you got it right. but i think to the governor s point, you know, both parties don t want to see this expansion into something else. because they do have a vested interest in the status quo, as much as you know right now folks are railing against republicans for this, that, or the other thing, you can also flip that scrip and rail the other way. and i think this is the time, and it began in 2009, where we as a nation can begin to talk about other alternatives and other ways. and you know, we may or may not have a formal third party movement or third party. but i think there people see a third way that does have an impact on the political process. isn t that third way eliminating that suicide vest of money that allows people to basically pick off anybody who steps out of line, unless everybody does it together? well, dylan, there s no question, you re right. but how does the third party help accomplish that? i don t know. how does t
affiliates that are working on this. and, so, i i just like to see us calm down and work on those three problems i said, which is great. most interestingly enough, most of the help we ve been offered from other countries is designed to put out booms and other things. one of the countries, norway or another, has some sort of automatic sort of wing that comes off of a scrip that scrapes up oil that we don t have. i think we ought to get all of this stuff over here and work on solving the problem. and i he s going to be plenty empathetic and he s going to have a lot of opportunities to do it. and if we ve got 20,000 immigrants that have done great honor to our country whose families go down, we re going to have to empathize with them and all my fellow scotch irish red necks making a living down there and make a living down there and put their lives back together. there s going to be plenty of time for empathy. let s plug the leak and stop the damage.
