Wellesley resident Henry Kamio was awarded the Donald Welch Social Studies Prize May 10 at the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School Baccalaureate Ceremony in Waltham. The Donald Welch Social Studies Prize was named in 2001 in order to honor Donald Welch, teacher of social studies for 28 years, and is awarded to a senior who has both completed excellent work in social studies and demonstrated genuine interest in the field.

Red alert issued as water level rises at Peringalkuthu reservoir
As heavy rain, winds, and sea erosion continued for the third consecutive day on Sunday in Thrissur district, relief camps were opened in Thrissur and Chalakudy, apart from the coastal areas of Kodungallur and Chavakkad.
Two camps were opened at Chalakudy and one in Thrissur in keeping with the COVID-19 protocol. People are admitted to the camps after COVID screening.
