WILMINGTON — The School Committee meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 6 pertained to the superintendent’s report and educational program up­dates, among other items and public comment.

WILMINGTON — Su­per­intendent Dr. Glenn Brand and Assistant Superinten­dent Christine Elliott shared updates on the district’s bullying prevention and intervention plan with the School Committee at their most recent meeting.

By restoring greater state control of education, the A-PLUS Actwould allow states to end inefficient and ineffective federalprograms, reallocate funds toward state-directed initiatives toimprove student learning, and reduce spending on administrativecosts and bureaucracy. State policymakers, with greater input fromparents and other stakeholders, could take responsibility forstrengthening public education in local communities.
