Microsoft Edge will soon get a built-in free VPN, according to a support document posted recently on Microsoft website.

It's powered by Cloudflare and called the 'Microsoft Edge Secure Network.'

The Microsoft Edge Secure Network will apparently offer users a limited amount of free, encrypted data when browsing on Edge via a public Wi-Fi network.

Microsoft is adding a free built-in virtual private network (VPN) service, Edge Secure Network, to its Edge browser, although the tech giant hasn’t revealed when exactly. The service will allow users to protect their data from internet service providers and hide their location.

Edges Secure Network is powered by Cloudflare - one of the most trusted DNS hosts in the industry - and it aims to protect your device and sensitive data as you browse. The feature is in the early stage of development available to select users in Edge Canary and its not a full-fledged VPN service offered in browsers like Opera.
