At the recent MPLS, SD & AI Net World Congress 2022 Congress (also called the MPLS Forum) held in Paris, France, Ping Wu, CTO of Huawei Datacom Product Line European Branch delivered a keynote speech titled "IPv6 Enhanced, Unleashing Connectivity Potential.”
During keynote presentations at the recent IPv6 Summit held in Paris representatives from key organisations ETSI, ARCEP, IETF and EANTC, along with a number of operators and vendors, focused on the potential of IPv6 Enhanced to accelerate development of the digital economy through increased connectivity.

In 2014 when I did the first prototype implementation of MPLS-SR node labels, I was stunned that just with an incremental add of 500 lines of code to the vanilla IPv4/IPv6 IS-IS codebase I got full any-to-any connectivity, no sync issues, no targeted sessions for R-LFA …. essentially labeled transport comes for free.
