Kalibo, Aklan (CNN Philippines, April 29) The local government of Malay, Aklan has declared 122 tourists as persona non grata after they faked RT-PCR tests to enter Boracay.
The Sangguniang Barangay of Malay released the resolution on March 11, saying the declaration should serve as a deterrent to visitors who arrogantly refuse to heed methods and processes in the popular destination.
Aklan Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIATF) chairperson Atty. Selwyn Ibarreta confirmed in a phone interview that the Aklan government has also filed legal complaints against 11 of the 122 tourists for falsification of documents. Authorities are also planning on filing cases against the others.
