even more rewarding. ink from chase. so you can. two years ago this month, there was a mass shooting inside a screening of one of the batman movies in aurora, colorado. 82 people were shot many that incident. 12 people were shot and killed. 70 people were shot and injured. the shooter in that mass shooting used a pump-action remington shotgun and a .40 caliber semiautomatic glock handgun and the smith & wesson version of an ar .15 assault rifle. it was the assault rifle he rigged with a drum magazine like this one. which could hold up to 100 bullets feeding them all one after another into that gun. this wasn t an automatic weapon where you hold down the trigger and the gun fires multiple times while you re holding the trigger down. this was a semiautomatic gun which means it fires a bullet every time you squeeze the trigger and fires them as fast as the speed of your trigger

mindful that just because the nra says something, it doesn t mean it s going to be advantageous to you and sort of the demographic we re speaking to in specific here is mothers across america. women who are swing voters. what is the republican party doing if it wants to win those votes 2014, 2016 and beyond? i think it probably ends up doing sort of close to what the democratic party is going to do, which is if you look at the kinds of gun controls that people support, they re not really very effective at stopping these kinds of shootings, right? the assault weapons ban, we had columbine. we had michael corn he ll and a lot of school shootings after that ban because, in fact, most of what it did, except for the ban on extended magazines, which i think probably does cut down on the fatality of these shootings, mostly it sort of looks scary or you know, the thing that s dangerous about the gun is that it s a gun, and there s almost no kind of semiautomatic gun that you can define tha
