Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has stopped water rationing as the water level in the Thumbe dam across the Nethravathi River increased. The decision comes after receiving rainfall in the region, leading to an increase in water inflow to the dam. Previously, water was being rationed to 60 wards on alternate days due to a decline in the dam's water level. This decision impacts water supply to Mangaluru city, Ullal, and Mulki.
