District 1 Senator Tim Melson's family has provided some updates on his condition after he suffered a cardiac arrest during an 'economic development trip' in South Korea.
Alabama Secretary of Senate Pat Harris confirmed that Senator Tim Melson is in a hospital in Seoul after having a heart attack on a trip to South Korea.

“We are doing all we possibly can under these difficult circumstances to protect the public, our staff, and our members, while opening the government for this session with an open, transparent process,” Secretary of the Senate Pat Harris said in a press release.
House Speaker Mac McCutcheon said the House has ruled out moving to a site other than the State House. A task force studied several alternatives. McCutcheon said the House is completing its plans to adapt to the pandemic within the State House.
