The White House and Democratic leaders expressed support Monday for a framework on gun control legislation that 10 Senate Democrats and 10 Senate Republicans agreed to over the weekend. 

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that the Senate framework on gun control and violence “will take steps to save lives" but that "more is needed."

President Joe Biden says the bipartisan gun safety framework is not enough, but he praised senators for drafting it and vowed to sign the legislation Sunday.
