Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): As part of Swachhata Pakhwada, office of the Senior Liaison Officer of Coffee Board in Mokokchung organised an awareness programme with coffee growers, workers and children in Khensa village on November 1. The Swachhata Pakhwada is a 15-day activity on Swachhta Bharat Mission to ensure hygiene so that mission mode pursuit leads to a mindset of zero tolerance towards anything unhygienic. An update from the Coffee Board informed that Kilepchiba, MMC sanitation inspector and SBM nodal officer and resource person, spoke on waste management. He exhorted the gathering that reducing waste would not only protect the environment but also save on costs for disposal, which could help reuse or recycle resources. He explained that the waste materials should be segregated in to dry and wet waste.
