Stock market holiday: On Friday, the 30-share BSE Sensex pack slipped 48 points or 0.07 per cent to close at 65,970, while the broader NSE Nifty index moved 7 points or 0.04 per cent down to end at 19,795.

This week, investors will be eyeing key events such as India’s GDP growth rate, fiscal deficit data, RBI Monetary and Credit Information Review, along with the Fed Chairman Speech, and the GDP growth rate in the US that will keep the markets buzzing.     

Taking cues from the international prices, MCX December gold futures opened in the green and were trading at Rs 61105 per 10 gram, up by Rs 33 or 0.05% from the Thursday closing price.

For Friday, share market analysts from a few domestic brokerages have assigned Buy calls on CDSL, Bajaj Auto and Star Health & Allied Insurance. Check price targets and other crucial details.

Experts are of the view that on the upside 44,000 will act as a crucial resistance for the Nifty Bank index in the coming week, and a decisive move above the same could trigger a strong rally in the index. Indian equity market will remain shut on Monday on account of a public holiday.

The headline indices have been trading in a range for a while now in the want of any significant trigger. Smallcap stocks maintained their outperformance for another session.

Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 3.50 points, or 0.02 per cent, lower at 19,894.50, hinting at a negative start for the domestic market on Thursday.

On Comex, gold futures were trading at $1,994.70 per troy ounce on Thursday, up by $1.90 or 0.10% while Silver futures were trading at $23.735, higher by 0.047 or 0.20%.

For Thursday, share market analyst from a domestic brokerage has assigned Buy calls on Bharat Forge, India Pesticides and UNO Minda. Check price targets and other crucial details.

The index rose over 100 points to close at 43,577. It hit an intraday high of 43,649 and an intraday low of 43,451. The Nifty50 index closed flat with a negative bias at 19,802.
