Young martial artists from Kerry brought back an impressive haul of medals from the recent WKA European Karate Championships that were held in Belgium last Friday, November 3.
Now that the dust has settled – and the bruises have (hopefully) healed – from the recently held Southwest Ireland International Open Karate Championships in Killarney, organisers of the event can truly sit back, relax and reflect on a job very well done with the event attracting huge praise from all those who were in attendance.
The who’s who of karate in Ireland will descend on the Killarney Sports & Leisure Centre this coming weekend for what is sure to be a thrilling two days of martial arts action.
Students and coaches from the Kerry Shotokan Karate School – also known as Kerry Martial Arts School – had an trip to remember earlier this month as they tasted success on the international stage at the annual Malta Open which operates under the banner of World Karate Alliance (WKA).
