The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to reach the Orange or Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category.

The 14th Action Day of the Year is for high levels of particulate matter and ozone in St. Clair, Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw, Lenawee and Monroe counties.

It’s rated as unhealthy in Shelton because of a large brush fire.

The EPAs AQI ranges from 0 to 500 and represents the measurement of these five different major pollutants regulated by the Clean Air Act.

The Wisconsin DNR has issued an ozone advisory for July 4 for 42 counties throughout the state.
