The app, which once boasted an impressive 44 million daily active users, has seen those numbers plummet to just eight million in an astonishingly short amount of time.

The number of Threads users who visit the platform daily dropped from 44 million at its peak to 8 million at the end of July, according to Sensor Tower data.
