The Academy sends invitation to hordes of Indian film personalities to become Academy members

Congratulations are in order as the RRR team gets invited to join the Academy. Jr NTR released a statement to extend his wishes to the team.

SS Rajamouli has shared his reaction after not being included as a member of the Academy, expressing his sentiments about the snub. Meanwhile, Jr NTR expressed his pride at receiving an invitation.

"Extremely proud that 6 members of our RRR team have been invited as members for The Academy Awards this year," wrote SS Rajamouli

The Oscars has more than 10,000 members who are entrusted with various responsibilities, including voting for the nominees for the annual Academy Awards ceremony.

The "RRR" team, including actors Ram Charan, Jr NTR and composer MM Keeravaani, as well as filmmakers Mani Ratnam and Karan Johar are among the 398 artistes and executives who have received invitations to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The list, however, does not feature the film's director Rajamouli.
