The 30th Seoul Music Awards took place at the KSPO Dome on January 31, hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, and Shin Dong Yup.
BTS took home the Daesang (Grand Prize), as well as the Best Album Award, Best Song Award, the K-Wave Award, the WhosFandom Award, and a Bonsang (Main Award) for a total of six trophies.
Back in 2020, the 29th Seoul Music Awards divided the Daesang into two categories, but the 30th Seoul Music Awards has reverted to the show’s original format of awarding a single Daesang and separate Best Album and Best Song Awards. As BTS won the Album Daesang at the 29th Seoul Music Awards last year, this marks the fourth year in a row that BTS has won a Daesang from the Seoul Music Awards.

They have no issues going about their daily lives, but medical experts have advised that they avoid doing strenuous movements for the meantime. They had thus been focusing on their treatment and recovery during the preparation period for their Seoul Music Awards performance.

On January 31, the Seoul Music Awards held this year’s ceremony at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. The artists who took the stage to perform included all nine members of TWICE (with Jeongyeon delighting fans by returning from her health-related hiatus), SEVENTEEN, NU’EST, MONSTA X, Oh My Girl, ITZY, Stray Kids, TXT, ATEEZ, THE BOYZ, IZ ONE, (G)I-DLE, aespa, TREASURE, ENHYPEN, Kang Daniel, Jessi, and more.

Hotel del Luna is a 2019 tvN drama that starred IU and Yeo Jin Goo, who played the hotel owner Jang Man Wol and manager Gu Chan Sung, respectively. The drama revolves around a hotel that only caters to ghosts and helps them reach the afterlives by assisting them in resolving their grudges. If they are able to hold their grudges, they can proceed to the afterlife and begin the cycle of reincarnation.
