In Manipur, a pony rally was organised to promote peace and harmony in the state which has been suffering from ethnic violence since 3 May. The rally was organised by three associations – the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association, Manipur Equestrian Association, and Manipur Pony Society – and saw almost 100 participants carrying placards calling for peace. Over 50,000 people have been displaced as a result of the unrest, with more than 120 people dead and over 400 injured.
